Available question types for technical skills and how they are evaluated

We offer a large selection of technical skills and various question types to cater to different skill assessment needs. While some question types require manual evaluation by recruiters or hiring managers, we also offer auto-grading functionality for certain question types.

Auto-Graded Question Types:

Multiple choice questions

  • Present candidates with a set of options, and they need to select the correct answer(s) from the provided choices.

    • The system automatically grades the responses, providing immediate insights into a candidate's knowledge and understanding of a particular topic.

Single choice questions:

  • Candidates are presented with a list of options, and they are required to choose a single correct answer.

    • The system automatically assesses the responses and provides instant feedback regarding the candidate's proficiency in a specific area.

Manual Evaluation Question Types:

Free text questions

  • Designed to evaluate candidates' ability to provide detailed explanations or responses to open-ended prompts related to technical skills.

    • These questions require manual evaluation by recruiters or hiring managers.

    • With each free text question, a note is provided offering suggestions on what to look for in a quality answer.

    • While auto-grading is not available for free text questions, they provide valuable insights into a candidate's thought process, problem-solving, and written communication abilities.

Coding questions

  • Assess candidates' programming skills by asking them to write code to solve specific problems.

    • Coding questions require manual evaluation by recruiters or hiring managers.

    • With each coding question, a note is provided offering suggestions on what to look for in a quality answer.

    • While auto-grading is not applicable here, the responses allow employers to gauge a candidate's coding proficiency, logical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

By using a combination of auto-graded and manually evaluated questions, you can gain a comprehensive understanding of a candidate's technical skills during the assessment process.
