Test analytics reports give you a detailed, at-a-glance view of how your skills test is performing and how candidates are engaging with it. These insights can help you identify strengths, spot issues, and optimize both your test and your sourcing strategy.

How to Access Test Analytics

  1. From your home screen, open the job that contains the test you want to review.

  2. In the job view, click Test Analytics at the top of your pipeline.

  3. In the analytics screen:

    • Use the Test Selector to choose the specific test within the job.

    • Adjust the Date Range to focus on the time period you want to analyze.

Performance Metrics

Below are the key data points you’ll find in the Test Analytics dashboard:

  • Score Distribution
Visual breakdown showing how candidate scores are spread across different ranges. Helps identify whether your test is too easy, too difficult, or well-balanced.

  • Average Score
The mean score of all applicants who completed the test.

  • Candidates Starting Test
The number of candidates who began the test (regardless of completion).

  • Test Completion Rate
The percentage of candidates who started and then completed the test.

  • Candidates Over Threshold
The number of applicants who passed your test, based on the passing score threshold set in your test settings. If no passing threshold is set, this number will match your total number of applicants.

  • Average Time Spent
The mean total time taken by candidates to complete the test.

Sources

This report breaks down test performance by sourcing channel (e.g., job boards, social media, direct links). For each source, you can see:

  • Conversion Rate = (Total applicants ÷ Total unique visitors from that source) × 100%

Use this data to identify your highest-performing channels and optimize where you promote your tests.

Question performance

This section shows how each question in your test performed:

  • Identify questions that may be too easy (most candidates answer correctly) or too hard (most answer incorrectly).

  • ⚠️ Note: Any randomized questions will not appear in this section.
